Vern Haugen
Vern Haugen is a seasoned real estate developer and entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience in residential, commercial, and luxury projects across the U.S. and Canada. Since earning his Arizona real estate license at 18, he has developed, built, or managed more than 1,000 units and $375 million in real estate assets.
Major accomplishments include the LaVerne Luxury Condominiums in Phoenix ($87M, 260 units), multiple North Dakota residential and multifamily developments totaling over $45M, and the Motor Vault series—luxury garage condominium communities in Fountain Hills and Deer Valley valued at more than $36M combined.
Throughout his career, Vern has demonstrated a consistent ability to identify opportunities, execute complex developments, and deliver lasting value across every venture.
Julie Skrei
With over 25 years of experience leading luxury brand growth, Julie Skrei brings proven expertise in sales leadership, client relations, and strategic expansion. Her career includes senior roles with global hospitality and travel icons such as Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, The One & Only Resorts, and Abercrombie & Kent, where she was the company’s top revenue producer for more than a decade.
At Motor Vault, Julie drives sales strategy, leveraging her deep knowledge of high-end markets to expand the brand’s footprint and deliver a premier ownership experience.
A Realtor with West USA Realty and Million Dollar Producer, Julie holds a B.S. in Health from the University of Iowa. A former IFBB fitness competitor and dedicated philanthropist, she is passionate about charitable work across Africa and brings a global perspective to every endeavor.
Wendy K. Lahr
A proud Iowa native, Wendy Lahr brings a career defined by exceptional customer service, organization, and professionalism. A graduate of the Spencer School of Business, she began her career at National Car Rental World Headquarters in Edina, Minnesota, managing million-dollar corporate accounts as a Key Account Service Coordinator and earning recognition for her commitment to client satisfaction.
After relocating to Arizona, Wendy spent 26 years with the City of Mesa Fire Department, serving as Administrative Assistant to three Battalion Chiefs. Known for her calm leadership and dependability in a fast-paced public safety environment, she became a trusted cornerstone of departmental operations.
At Motor Vault, Wendy applies her precision, warmth, and organizational excellence to support sales coordination and client relations.

Shelby Haugen
Shelby brings over a decade of experience in business development, marketing, and real estate to the Motor Vault team.
A Scottsdale native and graduate of the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, she began her career selling and marketing multi-million-dollar homes and new home communities. She went on to manage a marketing agency for nine years, leading brand growth across multiple industries, and later served as Managing Partner of a healthcare facility through a successful exit.
Now based in Rabun County, Georgia, Shelby combines strategic insight, operational leadership, and community focus—building ventures that blend business strength with long-term local impact.
Newton Tilson
A Rabun County native with over 20 years of experience in high-end construction, landscape design, and project management, Newton Tilson brings deep expertise in both residential and commercial development to Motor Vault.
As owner of Land Innovations LLC and Stone Vista LLC, he has led numerous luxury landscape, hardscape, and masonry projects across Georgia’s premier gated and resort communities.
Newton holds advanced degrees from The University of Georgia, Western Carolina University, Louisiana State University, and Harvard University, with concentrations in construction science, real estate development, and environmental planning.
His leadership ensures each Motor Vault project is built to the highest standards of quality, design, and long-term sustainability.
