Vern Haugen
Founder & Developer
A seasoned real estate developer and entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience across residential, commercial, and luxury projects in the U.S. and Canada. Since earning his Arizona real estate license at 18, Vern has developed, built, or managed more than 1,000 units and $375 million in real estate – including the LaVerne Luxury Condominiums in Phoenix ($87M, 260 units), multiple North Dakota developments ($45M+), and the Motor-Vault communities in Fountain Hills and Deer Valley.
Julie Skrei
VP of Sales & Marketing
With over 25 years of experience leading luxury brand growth, Julie brings proven expertise in sales leadership, client relations, and strategic expansion to the Motor-Vault team.
Wendy K. Lahr
Sales Coordinator
A proud Iowa native, Wendy brings a career defined by exceptional customer service, organization, and professionalism. A graduate of the Spencer School of Business, she began at National Car Rental World Headquarters in Edina, Minnesota, managing million-dollar corporate accounts as a Key Account Service Coordinator. After relocating to Arizona, she spent 26 years with the City of Mesa Fire Department as Administrative Assistant to three Battalion Chiefs – known for calm leadership and dependability in a fast-paced public safety environment. Shelby Haugen
Business Development & Marketing
Shelby brings over a decade of experience in business development, marketing, and real estate. A Scottsdale native and graduate of the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, she began her career selling and marketing multi-million-dollar homes and new-home communities, later leading a marketing agency for nine years and serving as Managing Partner of a healthcare facility through a successful exit. Now based in Rabun County, Georgia, she combines strategic insight, operational leadership, and community focus.

A Rabun County native with over 20 years of experience in high-end construction, landscape design, and project management, Newton brings deep expertise in both residential and commercial development to Motor-Vault.
